We want all our Members to enjoy the most out of their Membership, and continuously remind you to remain wary of unscrupulous individuals offering you lucrative deals on your points. 


Remember, if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is! 


A number of Members have fallen victim to third parties falsely posing as representatives of The Holiday Club, offering to buy and sell or take control of their Points – thus allowing them to profit off your valuable Membership. 


Certain individuals may masquerade as sales agents for The Holiday Club but are NOT mandated to represent the Club in any way. Please be extremely vigilant to NOT contract with anyone that is not an Accredited Agent.


We urge all our Members to please beware when approached by such individuals. 


Renting out of Points


Another modus that was recently brought to light is scammers offering to rent a Member’s points out on their behalf. Often an upfront payment is required by the Member, and the money is never received, causing our Members to lose on both fronts.


Remember that the renting out of points is against The Holiday Club Constitution, further outlined in your contractual agreement. 


We would never contact our Members to rent out their weeks/points and will never ask you to pay through a cell phone number or any other payment type other than the ones listed on Club statements and our Club website.


False Agents versus Accredited Agents


For peace of mind and security, we have dedicated Accredited Agents ready and willing to assist you with matters pertaining to your Holiday Club Points Portfolio – please make sure that you ONLY deal with these Accredited Agents. 


Before transacting, always double-check the validity of the agent’s accreditation status at any given time. You will always find the latest list of Accredited Agents on The Holiday Club website here.


Remember that purchases from non-accredited agents are not vetted by The Holiday Club, so always beware of incorrect Points balances or those having outstanding fees attached to them. 


Protection of Personal Information


With the POPI Act in place, the personal information of our Members is safeguarded at all times, and will never be given to an unauthorized party. 


Neither The Holiday Club nor any of our Accredited Agents, will ask you for security details such as your online booking password or authority to access your accounts on your behalf.
